AAQC 2026 set to strengthen Australia’s Qur’an legacy

The Annual Australian Qur’an Competition has released its 2026 event summary, outlining plans to strengthen its role as Australia’s emerging national platform for Qur’an recitation and memorisation.

The report highlights the success of the 2025 event, which featured 12 finalists, 800 ticket holders, two Umrah prizes, more than $10,000 in prizes and support from over 30 Islamic institutions.

In 2026, AAQC will introduce a scholar-led organising committee, welcome international scholars and reciters, and add $15,500 in cash prizes. Read the full event summary here.
