Am I eligible to compete?

Before you register, take a moment to check whether you meet the requirements for your chosen category. Eligibility is designed to be inclusive — we welcome participants of all ages from across Australia.

What every participant needs to meet

  • You must be a resident of Australia at the time of the competition
  • You must have fully memorised the Qur'anic portion for your selected category
  • You must be able to recite from any point within your selected range without prompting
  • You must be available to participate in all required stages, including preliminary rounds if selected
  • You must complete the official AAQC registration form before the closing date

Which category applies to you?

AAQC offers three memorisation categories. Choose the one that reflects what you have genuinely and solidly memorised.

Frequently asked questions

Is there an age requirement?

- 30 Juz: Age limit: 30 years born on or after 1 January 1996
- 20 Juz: Age limit: 20 years born on or after 1 January 2006
- 10 Juz: Age limit: 15 years born on or after 1 January 2011

Do I need to be an Australian citizen?

No. Australian citizenship is not required. Participants must maintain legal residency in Australia. Tourist and temporary visa holders are not eligible.

Who can participate?

The competition is open to residents of Australia who meet the eligibility requirements for their selected category.

What if I am still memorising?

Participants must have fully memorised their selected portion at the time of registration.
